Manzo Slaps 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Ricardo Manzo, it came around today.

The 33-year-old shortstop scattered hits all over Parque de los Grises to pace the Humacao Grises to a 15-8 victory over the Las Piedras Artesanos.

Las Piedras skipper José Lara told reporters in the press room that "Manzo deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Manzo hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Ricardo Manzo hit a two-run double in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.

Manzo is swinging at a .267 pace on the year with no home runs, 19 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 26 games.
