The Guerrero Jinetes called upon starter Abilio Flores, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Piedras Negras Carboneros, 6-2. Flores went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 8, and struck out 5. His record improves to 17-9. The third-place Jinetes improved to 45-36.
Guerrero first baseman Martín González helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Flores told the Guerrero Observer.
