Despite a great performance by Tempe shortstop Steve Jalufka, the Tucson Highwaymen defeated the Olympians by the score of 6-5 at Tempe Stadium. Jalufka was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. Joe Lowe was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. Tucson is now 40-20, 4 games up in the Border League Arizona Circuit.

Tucson used the timely hitting of Andy Hudson to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Highwaymen on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Hudson.
