The Piedras Negras Carboneros picked up a win at Carboneros Ballpark, taking down the Nuevo Laredo Colibris, 6-4. Starting pitcher Sílvano Flores was a big reason why. Piedras Negras is now 33-25, Nuevo Laredo 37-21.

Marco Aguirre dealt the Colibris a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Piedras Negras leading 1-0, Aguirre, who finished 3rd in the LRB-LF in RBI with 59 in 1894, hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.

Flores said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
