Ramírez Spins Shutout Against Galanes
The Ciudad Acuna Galanes struggled at the plate today against Colibris hurler Jesús Ramírez, who shackled them on 5 hits while hurling a complete game 2-0 shutout.

"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Galanes skipper Álvaro Trejo in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."

Ramírez finished the game with 9 strikeouts and no walks in an excellent mound performance.

"He pitched real well," Nuevo Laredo manager Matthew Goforth said. "Jesús made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
