Guerrero Jinetes starter Todd Shaw was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Nuevo Laredo Colibris, 6-2. Shaw, now 3-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. With the loss, Nuevo Laredo falls to 11-10.
Rigoberto Vidalez, who leads the LRB-LF in triples with 3, aided the Guerrero cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I had a good game plan," said Shaw. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Próspero Torres said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
