The Rio Grande Cotorras and Aguada Arzobispos provided some drama for the home crowd.

Aguada beat Rio Grande at Estadio de las Cotorras, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Darío Martínez. He went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Victoriano Islas. His record is now 5-3. The right-hander went 9 innings, allowing 5 runs on 11 hits for the Arzobispos.

In the top of the third, with Aguada leading 1-0, the Cotorras allowed the Arzobispos to go up, 2-0, on a base hit and Rio Grande error.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Martínez said.

The Cotorras, now 8-15, continue their sluggish start.
