Reyes Lifts Tiburones to 6-4 Win
|
Aguadilla and Camuy duked it out and the Tiburones came out victorious.
The Aguadilla Tiburones downed the Camuy Murcielagos, 6-4, at Parque de los Tiburones. Enrique Reyes led the way, going 4-for-4 for Aguadilla. Raúl Majano, the winning pitcher, improved to 15-25. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 4.
In the top of the ninth, Fernando Ruiz stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Murcielagos were trailing 6-4, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Raúl Majano made a terrific pitch and Ruiz grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Camuy comeback.
Today's win puts Aguadilla at 57-78, while Camuy falls to 79-56.
