The Quebradillas Piratas topped the Cayey Toritos, 7-6, in Liga Hostos action at Campo de los Piratas. The standout performance belonged to Quebradillas pitcher and San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, native Casiodoro Beovides. With the win, Quebradillas upped its record to 74-59.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Desiderio Ramírez was at the plate when Quebradillas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Piratas to go in front, 7-6.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Ramírez.
