The Canovanas Chupacabras got a stellar performance from pitcher Feliciano Muñoz, who handcuffed the Ciales offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Parque de los Valerosos. Canovanas is first in the Liga Betances El Yunque with a record of 78-55.

Ireneo Galindo could have done more damage. In the bottom of the ninth, with Ciales trailing 4-1, Ciales had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Galindo hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough. Canovanas would go on to win the game.
