Cienfuegos beat Santiago at Parque de Cienfuegos, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Celino Flores. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Soneros allowed the Elefantes to score the winning run.
