Pericos Pick Up 3-2 Win
|
Holguin picked up a win at Parque de los Pericos, bumping off the Bayamo Rafagas, 3-2. Pitcher Armando Sorto was a major reason the Pericos emerged victorious. With the win, Holguin upped its record to 47-30.
Jack Doyle hit a run-scoring triple off Matías Villarreal in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Pericos in front, 1-0. Doyle had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Holguin manager Édgar Meléndez.
