McAlister Delivers Walk-Off Win for Leopardos
The Santa Clara Leopardos finished things off in style.

The Santa Clara Leopardos defeated the Camaguey Tinajones, 5-3, in Torneo del Oriente action at Terreno de los Leopardos. Santa Clara pitcher Catón de Herrera had a standout performance. de Herrera went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 14-11.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Santa Clara trailing 3-2, Dan McAlister hit a sinker from Lupe Sánchez for a 3-run home run, giving the Leopardos the walk-off win.

"This place was rockin'," said McAlister.

The Leopardos now have a mark of 35-42.
