Bayamo Rafagas left-hander Matías Villarreal pitched a good game against the Holguin Pericos at Parque de los Pericos, leading his team to victory, 5-2. Bayamo now has a record of 7-9.

Ricardo Puga was vital part of the Bayamo win. He went 2-5 with a double. In the top of the fifth with two out, Puga hit a run-scoring double. It made the score 4-2, in favor of the Rafagas.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Villarreal told the Bayamo Gazette.
