Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Henequeneros
Habana left fielder Eugenio Andrades was sensational. He went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Matanzas beat the Leones, 9-8. Matanzas, at 45-27, holds down first place in the Torneo del Occidente División de La Habana.

Matanzas used a timely hit from Gilberto Águila to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Henequeneros ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Águila.
