Chupacabras Earn 11-6 Win Versus Arecibo
|
Hiram Rosa did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Arecibo Lobos from losing, 11-6, to the Canovanas Chupacabras at Parque de los Lobos. Rosa went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI. Feliciano Muñoz got the win, improving to 25-15. He worked 9 innings, giving up 6 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Canovanas is now 74-53. Arecibo is 47-80.
Miguel Pagán hit a bases-clearing triple off José Medrano in the top of the second, which put the Chupacabras in front, 3-0. In addition to the triple, Pagán had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 5.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Chupacabras manager Alejandro Estrada, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
