Rumpf reaches base 4 times in Bishops Win
1897 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Swansea Copper Lords.

A good performance from shortstop Craig Rumpf helped the Bangor Bishops defeat the Swansea Copper Lords, 8-7. Rumpf was 2 for 3 with 2 triples and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Bishops. Roberto López recorded the save for Bangor, his 2nd of the season.

Rumpf had a game-changing triple in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Jon Schofield, he banged a bases-clearing triple to left-center, giving the Bishops a 7-6 lead. It was the 7th triple of the year for Rumpf.

"Feels good to get the job done," Rumpf said after the game.

Bangor is 4th in the All-Team Circuit Undeb Pel-fas Cymru with a record of 48-60.
