Claymores Resilient in 9-8 Win Over Perth
Claymores Park was host to some intense drama.

Despite a fine performance by shortstop Íñigo Pichardo, the Perth Caber Tossers lost to the Edinburgh Claymores, 9-8. Pichardo was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Edinburgh is second in the All-Team Circuit Lig Ball-steidhe na h-Alba with a record of 52-46.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Timoteo Rubinos had a chance to be the hero. Perth pitcher Caffar Byrne had other ideas. But with no outs, Rubinos got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Claymores had themselves a dramatic win.
