Though he had a great game, Henry Ransom could not single-handedly produce a win for Dublin. Derry won the game, 5-2. Derry capitalized on an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Derry was leading 2-1 when Mario Franco hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Derry in front, 3-1.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Franco told the Derry Chronicle.
