The Vega Baja Caneros outlasted the Cabo Rojo Combatientes in an extra-inning thriller.

Oscar Vilchis pitched well, but the Cabo Rojo Combatientes still lost the game, falling 4-3 to the Vega Baja Caneros at Parque de los Combatientes. Darío Ortiz was the winner. Over 9.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. Antonio Cornejo closed it out for his 1st save.

Huáscar Millán, the 28-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Millán contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Vega Baja up, 3-1.
