Simon Evans impressed in the 11-5 Cardiff win over Swansea. Evans, who finished 5th in the GBBO in doubles with 29 last year, went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Connor Griffiths picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 11 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 16-10.

Cardiff capitalized on an error in the bottom of the first inning. Cardiff was leading 1-0 when Clyde Silcock hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Cardiff in front, 2-0.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Silcock said after the game.

The Arcadians now have a record of 45-42.
