The Wrexham Druids did just enough to sneak past the Newport Stevedores, 2-1, at Wrexham Stadium. Wrexham pitcher Henry Wilkin, in particular, had a standout performance. Wilkin went the distance for Wrexham. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. With the win, the Druids have a record of 55-29.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Wrexham trailing 1-0, Anaxímenes Velásquez hit a changeup from Rutilio Rivera for a 2-run home run, giving the Druids the walk-off win.

Velásquez said he "would like to have scored more runs for Rivera. But we'll gladly take this win."
