Good production from catcher Quincy Mackay helped the Aberdeen Granite topple the Edinburgh Claymores, 7-5. Mackay went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Granite. Absalón Guerrero got the win, improving to 12-11. He worked 9 innings, giving up 5 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The loss makes Edinburgh 42-39.

Mackay had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 curveball from Liam Maguire, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Granite a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Mackay.
