Despite a fine performance by shortstop Sarpedón Arisméndez, the Belfast Bards lost to the Cork Salmon, 5-3. Arisméndez was 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. With the win, the Salmon improved to 39-41.

In the top of the ninth, Oliver Saville stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Bards were trailing 5-3, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Elton Graham made a terrific pitch and Saville grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Belfast comeback.
