Guevara Helps Perth Outscore Aberdeen
Ofelio Guevara was the difference-maker for the Perth Caber Tossers in what turned into a shootout with the Aberdeen Granite. Guevara went 3-for-4 in the 14-12 Caber Tossers win. Perth reliever Sean Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Jamie Green took the loss. Perth now owns a record of 36-42.

Perth used a well-timed hit by Alfonso Vigil to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Caber Tossers ahead, 13-11. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"They're fun to watch and the hitters get to pad their stats but nobody's really happy about a game like that," Perth manager Haffy Higgins. "I promise you I'm not happy."
