The Wrexham Druids topped the Newport Stevedores, 7-1, in Great British Base-Off action at Newport Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Wrexham pitcher and Derby, England, native Peter Butler. Butler went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 14-9. The first-place Druids go to 46-24.

Wrexham right fielder Anaxímenes Velásquez made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, Velásquez went 2-3 with 2 triples and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
