Late Rally Gets 9-8 Win for Granite
The Aberdeen Granite topped the Edinburgh Claymores, 9-8, with youngster Jake Gettman playing a key role. Gettman went 5-8 with a home run and 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Granite in the win. Louis Foran, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The Granite raised their record to 34-38.

Billy Mackinnon clinched the win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 14th. In the game, the Aberdeen shortstop went 1 for 5.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Lawler Davies, the Aberdeen skipper.
