The Cork Salmon scored a tight 2-1 win versus the Belfast Bards at Salmon Park. Cork pitcher Elton Graham held his own in the contest. Graham went the distance for Cork. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. The Salmon go to 27-28, putting them third in the All-Team Circuit Sraith Daorchluiche na hEireann.
Theo Boyce contributed to the Salmon cause with a productive at-bat in the bottom of the first inning. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a sacrifice fly, giving Cork the lead.
"You don't always need a lot of runs to win," said Graham. "Sometimes you need just one or two."
