The Belfast Bards topped the Derry Maidens, 3-2, in Great British Base-Off action at Bards Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Belfast pitcher Carlos Sosa. Belfast occupies first place in the All-Team Circuit Sraith Daorchluiche na hEireann at 40-16.

In the bottom of the fourth, Belfast right fielder Callum Craig had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Derry hurler Servio Olvera, Craig reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. That made the score 3-2, Belfast. For the day, Craig did the little things right to help the team.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Sosa told the Belfast Daily News. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
