The Cardiff Arcadians racked up a win at Copper Lords Park, bumping off the Swansea Copper Lords, 5-2. Connor Griffiths, who started for Cardiff, pitched effectively for his team. The 4th-place Arcadians lifted their record to 23-28.

Had Francis Morley not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Morley hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Arcadians.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Morley said.
