The Newport Stevedores downed the Wrexham Druids, 5-4, in 10 innings. Dermot Drake led the way, going 3-for-4 for Newport. The Stevedores, at 26-22, sit in second place in the All-Team Circuit Undeb Pel-fas Cymru.

The Stevedores relied on third baseman Martin Smith for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

In postgame comments, Smith said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
