Wrexham beat Swansea at Wrexham Stadium, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to catcher Gualberto Navía. He was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Wrexham starter Henry Wilkin was credited with the win after throwing 160 pitches over 9 innings. His record now stands at 9-5. The losses continue to mount for Swansea, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
The Druids relied on center fielder Louis Lewis for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the ninth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
Navía expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
