Druids Snatch Late Win
With left fielder Absalón Ruiz leading the charge, the Wrexham Druids defeated the Cardiff Arcadians, 6-5, at Wrexham Stadium. Ruiz, who is a two-time Iron Gauntlet winner, went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Wrexham pitcher Henry Wilkin got the win. He's now 8-5. Ewan Thomson was tagged with the loss. The first-place Druids are now 29-13, the Arcadians 19-26.

Louis Lewis was the walk-off hero for Wrexham. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Druids second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I like our moxie," said Druids manager Cecilio Solís.
