The Aberdeen Granite topped the Edinburgh Claymores, 10-2, in Great British Base-Off action at Claymores Park. The standout performance belonged to Aberdeen pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico, native Absalón Guerrero. At 17-19, the Granite claim third place in the All-Team Circuit Lig Ball-steidhe na h-Alba.

The Claymores had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Granite going into the top of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old left-handed pitcher Shaun Turner came to the plate. Turner hit a 2-run double on a first pitch cutter from Edinburgh hurler Liam Maguire. It was Turner's 1st double of the year.

Turner said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
