A good performance from left fielder Jeff Bell helped the Derby Rams defeat the London Fog, 6-5. Bell was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Rams. Stephen Thompson, credited with the win, is now 7-2. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits in 9 innings. The Rams saw their record improve to 17-10.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Derby trailing 5-3, Bell hit a fastball from Ryan Loveless for a 3-run home run, giving the Rams the walk-off win.

"This place was electric at the end," Bell said.
