Late Magic Gets Dublin 3-2 Win
|
The Dublin Vikings finished things off in style.
The Dublin Vikings did just enough to sneak past the Belfast Bards, 3-2, at Dublin Grounds. Dublin pitcher Roodan Keay, in particular, had a standout performance. The win elevated the Vikings to 15-10.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Treasaigh Miller had a chance to end it. Belfast pitcher Alistair Oakley had other ideas. But with one out, Miller hit a run-scoring single. The Vikings had the win.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Dublin manager Lewis Gillies said.
