The Nacogdoches Roaches defeated the New Braunfels Yodelers, 5-3, in Association of Eastern Texas action at Yodelers Field. Nacogdoches pitcher Brian McAlear had a standout performance. McAlear, now 8-8, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The Roaches now have a mark of 55-36.
Carlos de Jesús, the top prospect , had a direct impact on the outcome. de Jesús contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Nacogdoches up, 2-0.
