Yodelers Deal Alpinists 5-3 Setback
The New Braunfels Yodelers picked up a win at Yodelers Field, knocking off the Beaumont Alpinists, 5-3. On the mound for New Braunfels was right-hander Paul Keys, who played a pivotal role in the win. New Braunfels is second in the Association of Eastern Texas San Marcos Circuit with a record of 44-42.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Beaumont hurler Andrónico Alfaro, Roberto Guerrero, who finished 3rd in the ETXA in OPS with .853 in 1891, hit a run-scoring single. The Yodelers went on to win.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Guerrero.
