Roaches Win 4-3 Walk-Off
The Nacogdoches Roaches picked up a win at Roaches Field, knocking off the San Marcos Cadavers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Brian McAlear played a key role in the triumph. McAlear, now 6-6, was the winner. In 11 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 2, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. Nacogdoches occupies first place in the Association of Eastern Texas Galveston Circuit at 48-31.

The Roaches procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Arturo Vigil. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"It was a test of wills," said Joe Moffet, the Nacogdoches skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
