The Galveston Gulls topped the San Marcos Cadavers, 4-3, in Association of Eastern Texas action at Gulls Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Galveston pitcher Francisco Ramos. With the win over San Marcos, the Gulls improved to 36-36.

Jeremy Jarrard, who finished 2nd in the ETXA in doubles with 26 last year, aided the Galveston cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 2-4 with a triple.

"We take it day by day here," said Ramos, "and today was a good one for us."
