Nacogdoches Roaches starter Brian McAlear pitched a strong game against the San Marcos Cadavers at Cadavers Park, leading the Roaches to victory, 7-2. The Roaches, at 37-23, sit in first place in the Association of Eastern Texas Galveston Circuit.

With no one out in the top of the seventh, Arturo Vigil had a game-changing hit. The Roaches left fielder slammed a 2-run single off Livio Fernández, making the score 5-2, Nacogdoches.

"Getting the win feels nice," said McAlear. "More importantly, I had a good game."
