Cadavers Knock Off Mammoths at Waco Grounds
|
The San Marcos Cadavers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Josh Cornaby, who stifled the Waco offense en route to a 2-1 Cadavers win at Waco Grounds. The Cadavers go to 24-28, putting them third in the Association of Eastern Texas San Marcos Circuit.
The Cadavers got a big at-bat from third baseman Miguel Nájar. For the game, Nájar went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave San Marcos a 2-1 lead.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Nájar said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
