The Waco Mammoths beat the Luling Lavender Stockings, 6-4, at Lavender Stockings Park. The Mammoths got a fine performance from first baseman Guillermo Gómez, who went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Dylan Ivany picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 6-10. The Mammoths, at 21-26, sit in last place in the Association of Eastern Texas San Marcos Circuit.
With Waco leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Gómez hit a 2-run single off Luling hurler George Walker. It was the 29th hit of the season for Gómez and put his team ahead, 3-0.
