|
Brian McAlear of Nacogdoches easily handled the Waco Mammoths, stopping them on 6 hits and chucking a complete-game 9-0 shutout.
"He really did a job on us," said Waco manager Howard Wall. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."
He finished the game with 7 strikeouts and no walks in a solid outing.
