Carlos Arias did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the New Braunfels Yodelers from losing, 7-5, to the Nacogdoches Roaches at Roaches Field. Arias went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win over New Braunfels, the Roaches improved to 17-12.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Andrew Schug was at the plate when Nacogdoches scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Roaches to go in front, 6-4.

"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Schug.
