Yodelers Rally For 7-5 Win
The New Braunfels Yodelers picked up a win at Roaches Field, knocking off the Nacogdoches Roaches, 7-5. Starting pitcher Matt Decoste was a big reason why. Decoste picked up the win for New Braunfels, going 7 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Jamie Cunningham got credit for the save for New Braunfels. It was his 2nd of the year.

Had Mike Boyd not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Boyd hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Yodelers.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Decoste told the New Braunfels Today. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."

At 13-15, the Yodelers are currently third in the Association of Eastern Texas San Marcos Circuit.
