The Lubbock Layabouts beat the Marfa Ghost Lights, 4-3. Lubbock pitcher and Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, native Pedro Flores led the way. Flores went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1. His record improves to 11-14. The Layabouts raised their record to 43-47.

Greg Steward was the walk-off hero for Lubbock. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Layabouts left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
