El Paso capitalized on an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. El Paso was trailing 3-2 when Anselmo Castañeda hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put El Paso in front, 4-3.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Castañeda said in reaction to the win.
