Kurt Marland Tames San Angelo 4-1 for #100
Odessa's Kurt Marland took the hill at Cowhands Park today in search of his 100th career win. The 35-year-old ace found it against the San Angelo Killer Cacti.

After the historic victory, his manager told reporters, "I saw a tremendous sigh of relief when this thing was over. He was just looking to hug everyone in sight."

He worked 9 innings with 3 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 4-1 victory, checking San Angelo on 8 hits.

"It a big milestone in my career," admitted Marland. "When you get close to it, you worry about it a lot. It's done now... and I can relax and enjoy it."

Marland has authored a 100-103 won-lost record in his career with a 3.30 ERA.
