Layabouts Pull Off Thrilling 4-2 Win in Extras
The Lubbock Layabouts got a strong performance from pitcher Dámaso Soto, who stymied the Marfa offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Ghost Lights Field. Lubbock, at 35-33, holds down third place in the Association of Western Texas Abilene Circuit.

Lubbock used the timely hitting of Rubén Guerrero to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Layabouts on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Guerrero said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
